Founded in 1924 in Japan, Mayekawa’s MYCOM compressors have been trusted worldwide for over a century for our renowned reliability and efficiency.
July 18th, 2025 is our 50th Canadian anniversary. With three offices in Delta, BC, Calgary, AB, and Mississauga, ON, Mayekawa Canada continues to build on its strong legacy with a renewed focus on environmentally responsible solutions and technologies, with a vision for being the “Only One” choice in the industry.
Since 1975, Mayekawa Canada has played a vital role in the company’s operations. Some of our key innovations include implementing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for partial load control on screw compressors, developing CO₂ transcritical heat pumps, and designing industrial ammonia CO₂ volatile brine systems tailored for cold storage applications. From single-pad ice rinks in small townships to multi-pad ice sheets in large community centres, our MYCOM Reciprocating Compressors have been the refrigeration compressors of choice across Canada, the True North Strong and Free.
In honour of the milestone, Mayekawa Canada received a formal letter of recognition from the Honourable David Eby, Premier of British Columbia. The Premier commended Mayekawa in the letter for visionary leadership, outstanding craftsmanship, and longstanding commitment to quality.
“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past 50 years,” said Quinn Vo, Vice President, Corporate Engineering, North America at Mayekawa Canada. “This anniversary is not just a celebration of our history, but a reflection of the dedicated MYCOM team members, and loyal support from business partners, customers, vendors, and municipalities who have made our success possible.”
